City Sites is an
inter- and multi-disciplinary study of the iconography, spatial
forms and visual and literary cultures of New York and Chicago
in the period 1870s to 1930s. City Sites is the result
of collaborative research by scholars from Europe and the U.S.A
and presents a pioneering approach to American urbanism utilising
analytical possibilities offered by new multimedia technologies.
City Sites is part
of the 3Cities
research project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Board and
is based at the University of Birmingham and the University of
Nottingham in the UK.
