You have a fast link to the web site (preferably at least 56 kBs). Internally within the Universities of Birmingham and Nottingham the departments are linked by glass-fibre cable and the response is very fast and will be OK. The same will be true of all UK Universities that are connected to SuperJanet. For other UK universities, non-UK universities, and non-institutional locations the response will be variable

Those with slower connections should take heart though because the site is regularly tested over a normal UK phone connection. There are detour paths built into the software specially for you. With a little patience you should be able to get there in the end!.
