ASSIROS: THE PHASE 2 SETTLEMENT: 2

Room 5 contained a series of built cupboards against the East wall which may have former a low bench. Beneath this were stored a variety of objects including a group of loomweights and pot handles which probably served the same purpose. In total these would have served to equip an upright loom. |
Room 2, like several others, contained a large number of vessels shattered in the destruction fire. The distribution of the different types of vessels across the site provides a remarkable picture of the activity in each 'room'. |
