STONE WEIGHTS AND ORNAMENTS FROM NEOLITHIC SERVIA

Waisted weights

One of the most common types of stone object from Servia are 'waisted weights' - river pebbles of similar size notched on either side to enable suspension. Their use is uncertain, but they are also known on other sites near rivers or the coast and could have been used as net weights for fishing.

Malachite pendant

Stone of different kinds is used for a variety of ornaments - pendents in many forms, tiny beads, and marble bracelets.
